Make Your Own Effective, All-Natural Eye Makeup Remover

Removing cosmetics without scrubbing is important to avoid damaging your skin. Castor oil is excellent for removing eye makeup without scrubbing or using harsh soaps or chemicals.

In this recipe, it is combined with two other natural oils that help remove makeup while conditioning your skin and eyelashes.

Even mascara glides off effortlessly with this light oil mixture.

You will need:

  • 1 tablespoon canola oil
  • 1 tablespoon castor oil
  • 1 tablespoon light olive oil
  • 1 small container with tight fitting lid (preferably glass, but plastic will also work)

  1. First, make sure all the oils are in liquid form. If they get cold, they will solidify. If this is the case, scoop out a tablespoon, put it into a glass microwave-safe bowl or container, and microwave for around 10-20 seconds; just enough to liquify. Keep an eye on it, and do not overheat!!
  2. Mix oils together thoroughly in the container you’ll use for storage.

  1. Use an eyedropper or pour a small amount of oil onto a clean cotton pad and gently wipe over your upper and lower eyelashes and eyelids. Voila!
  2. Store in a cool, dry place, or in the refrigerator. If you store it in the fridge, then just scoop out what you need and rub in between your fingers for a few seconds to liquefy, then apply it to a cotton pad and apply to eyelids.

Makes 1½ ounces.
